All Skiptune engines are built to order in our own workshops and are machined to the highest standards and use only the best quality parts.

Skiptune cater for a wide range of standard and fast road engines, all built to your own specification.

However, due to the scarcity of MGA engines there are no donor engines available so we will only be able to rebuild your exisiting engine.

Standard Unleaded Engine

• Newly bored, honed and surfaced block. New pistons, ground and polished crankshaft.
• New tri-metal main and big end bearings. New billet camshaft and followers, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, clutch assembly and water pump.
• Reconditioned cylinder head with unleaded valve seats, guides, valves, springs and oil seals.
• Reconditioned rocker shaft assembly

Standard Engine – Balanced

• Specification as above but with the rotating assembly (crankshaft, flywheel, clutch and front pulley) dynamically balanced. Conrods balanced end to end and total weight. Pistons balanced.
• Allows the engine to accelerate and drive a lot smoother.

Balanced Engine with Performance Camshaft

• Specification as above but with the added benefit of a performance camshaft. A Vernier timing gear is also fitted to obtain the optimum performance from the camshaft.

The Skiptune Stage 2 Engine

• Specification as above but with lightened flywheel and our Skiptune SKP-A Stage 2 ported and gas flowed cylinder head.
